The work on St Paul's Bay bypass is progressing and the main roundabout at the entrance of St Paul's Bay, known as the Erba' Mwiezeb roundabout, is about to be finished.

The St Paul's Socio-Cultural Institute of St Paul's Bay (ISKSP) proposes that a monument commemorating the Shipwreck of St Paul in Malta be erected as proposed by the local council for the millennium.

A monument to the Shipwreck of St Paul would do justice to the locality which took its identity from this unique historical event. The council of the St Paul's Socio-Cultural Institute wrote to the local council of St Paul's Bay and to the Malta Transport Authority regarding this proposal and wishes to appeal to all those concerned for this monument to be ready for the Pauline Year which his Holiness Benedict XVI is going to declare next year.
