Twelve boats, in three different classes, took part in this year's two-day BOV Spring Series, organised by the Royal Malta Yacht Club.

Primadonna, captained by Georges Bonello DuPuis, emerged winner in Class A just ahead of Arthur Podesta's Elusive.

Spirit of the Wind, with Anton Calleja as skipper, was the outright winner in Class B while Alex Hall's Orlando proved too strong for Sephora, skippered by Frank Giordmaina Medici.

During the presentation ceremony, marketing manager Charles Azzo-pardi said Bank of Valletta were looking to support the Spring Series each year as the event has become an important race in the club's racing calendar.

Bonello DuPuis thanked the sponsors for their support.

"This is the seventh year of partnership with BOV," he said.

"The series is one of the most popular in our season. We are delighted that BOV have decided to maintain their support towards the race and sailing in general."
