The Astronomical Society of Malta will hold an observation session for the public at the Greek Theatre in the Gnien l-Gharusa tal-Mosta, Targa Gap situated behind Mcast tomorrow from 8.30 p.m.

Telescopes will be set up so that viewers will be able to see the planets in line with the moon as seen from Earth, which is a rare occurrence.

Saviour Grech, the society's PRO, said that although the moon and Saturn will not be close, they will be well placed in the sky where craters and mountain regions on the moon and the rings round Saturn are best observed and appreciated.

The society said that on May 22, the moon will pass in front of Saturn. All are invited to attend the session, which is free of charge.

More information is available from the society's website www.maltastro.org.
