An advanced logistics Life- Cycle team has returned from a 10-day reconnaissance trip covering this year's LifeCycle Challenge, which has been dubbed Where Only Eagles Dare.
Cyclists, raising funds for kidney patients, will start their gruelling trip in Romania on August 7, cross Ukraine and Poland and finish in Germany on August 21.
The team reviewed the most important aspects of the logistics of the route which LifeCycle says promises to be one of the most interesting, adventurous and challenging so far. A preliminary DVD of the route was presented to team members and interested parties at a special meeting.
A total of 40 cyclists, more than half of whom have had earlier LifeCycle experiences, have already enrolled for the 2007 challenge. It is still open to applications, available at www.lifecyclechallenge.com or at the reception desk of St Aloysius College Gymnasium.
Donations in aid of the Life-Cycle cause can be sent via sms (Lm1 - 50617356, Lm3 - 50618921, Lm5 - 50619218) or deposited in the bank accounts shown on the organisation's website.
