Reference is made to Mr Adrian Gatt's letter (The Sunday Times, April 8).

MEPA would like to clarify that planning permits are not concerned with who submits an application. They are concerned with where the application is located.

In the area Mr Gatt mentioned, in Gzira, the planning policies in the early Nineties did not permit the construction of penthouses. Mr Gatt, or his relatives, might wish to consider submitting a new application based on the new policies.
