The Malta Canine Society will be holding its Spring Championship Dog Show today and tomorrow at the Cottonera Sports Complex.
The show starts today at 3.30 p.m. with the Gundog and Toy breeds. Over 200 dogs representing 44 breeds will be taking part.
Tomorrow at 9 a.m. the show opens with the Junior Handler Class, a competition for people aged between 10 and 17. The junior with the highest number of points at the end of the year will represent Malta at the International Junior Handler Competition in Birmingham, England, next March. The Utility and Hound breeds will also be judged during tomorrow morning's session.
In the afternoon, the show will start at 3 p.m. with the Terrier and Working breeds and the finals, in which all group winners compete for the Best in Show title.
