Desmond Zammit Marmarà seems to be in a panic over the forthcoming general election (Nothing Is Decided Yet, April 17). Relax, dear Mr Zammit Marmara. All those people who suffer from amnesia, plus of course the usual Labour diehards, will vote Labour.

At this point in time, I do not know how many suffer from this inconvenient malady; however, it is hoped that all those who forgot the recent past, plus all those who still remember what Malta went through under the various Labour administrations, will come alive when shown what the Nationalist administrations has achieved throughout the years.

There might be a few who were unhappy because no street lamp was fixed over their doorstep, or some who grumbled because the refuse truck was a few minutes late, or some who had an unjustified delay at the government dispensary when they called for the free medicines; however the grateful majority will certainly vote, with enthusiasm, for the Nationalist Party. Although with uncountable defects, this party will certainly be, as always, a secure government, knowing what it wants and more importantly, how to get there.

Remember EU and the counter proposal of Switzerland in the Med? Remember the claim that the last option won the day at the referendum? I hope Mr Zammit Marmarà remembers, unlike those who easily forget.
