Four Premier League players were yesterday handed a one-match suspension by the Malta Disciplinary Commissioner.

St George's midfielder, Heatcliff Schembri, was banned after being sent off during his side's 2-1 defeat to Pietà Hotspurs. The latter had Bulgarian midfielder Svetlan Kondev on the suspensions' list for four yellow cards. Birkirkara's Jonathan Holland and Dylan Zarb, the Valletta midfielder, were also disciplined after receiving their fourth yellow card during their teams' clash on Saturday.
