The Labour Party yesterday condemned the practice of government ministers who avoid answering parliamentary questions and instead promise to give an answer during another sitting.
Minister Mugliette was not present yesterday when he had to answer a parliamentary question.
Mr Mugliette's absence was justified by the Prime Minister and by Education Minister, Louis Galea.
This attitude is not justified and that's why the MLP whip called for a quorum. Since the MPs on the government's side were still absent, the sitting was adjourned.
The Labour Party said Ministers and Parliamentary secretaries cannot shed the responsibility of answering parliamentary questions, the MLP said in a statement.
