The 18th BJ's Music Marathon, which kicked off last Monday afternoon and is now in its final stages, reaches its climax with a music Mass at the Paceville nightclub led by Fr Hilary Tagliaferro this morning at 9.
BJ's proprietor Philip Fenech explained that the Mass will be offered in thanksgiving for all the musicians, helpers and others who supported the initiative in any way. Mass was also being celebrated in memory of musicians who participated in previous editions of the marathon who had passed away.
The marathon, which is raising funds for Paceville's Millennium Chapel's social project Wishing Others Well (WOW), closes in the early hours of tomorrow morning. However donations can still be made by sending a text message to 5061-8061 to donate Lm2, 5061-8915 (Lm3) or 5061-9204 (Lm5) throughout this week.
Bands scheduled to perform today include Schedule V, composed of cardiac surgeon Alex Manchè, consultant Steve Brincat and other professionals, NV (Nikki and Sean Vukovic), Artisans, The Myth, Sky, and Cable 35.
