Air Malta offer

We agree with Ms Lara Mercieca (The Sunday Times, April 8) about the Air Malta Website advertisements which did appear to represent "special offers" over the Easter period.

For Christians everywhere, Easter is primarily a time to reflect upon the religious aspects of the season, not for the over-indulgence of figolla and chocolate eggs, and we feel there is no better place to contemplate the virtues of mankind than in Malta.

We are disappointed that the Easter period (which coincides with a UK extended holiday) was not included in the special offer. Clearly this was an attempt, not only by Air Malta, but indeed other airlines, to cash in on the simultaneous school and work holidays. Merchandising at its worst!
