Congratulations to the Dance Council Malta for organising the Ballet Dance Workshop, delegated by Peter Bo Bendixen, artistic director of soloists and principals at the Royal Danish Ballet, during the first week in March at the Central Academy of Dance, San Gwann.
The Maltese dance pupils also had the privilege to enjoy watching the full dress rehearsal at the Manoel Theatre on Saturday, which was going to be performed on the Sunday, at a very affordable price indeed: thus enhancing the philosophy of bringing dance par excellence to all our pupils, no matter what background they come from.
Finally the pupils were in for an unexpected treat! During the pristine performance of Apollo the music was subdued, the handsome solo artist's disappeared gracefully into the wing, to cast attention to the elegant Princess of Denmark who was seated in the President's box receiving our cheers and applause, while she rejoiced and returned her gratitude most elegantly. The pupils were mesmerised... as the performance resumed so effortlessly and undisturbed.
Special thanks go the committee of the Dance Council Malta. We need people like you, who are selfless and who work hard to promote the performing arts in Malta.
