The Suncrest Hotel has re-opened its doors following an ambitious 11-week refurbishment costing Lm500,000.
The refurbishment project, aimed at providing an innovative and quality-conscious service, consisted mainly of the upgrading of the technical plant, guest rooms and public areas.
Conference facilities were also upgraded and now have parquet flooring as well as new sound and visual systems. Restaurants, kitchens and service areas were also revamped.
The hotel's closure period was also utilised for a restructuring and reorganising drive which also saw the recruitment of new staff at all levels.
While congratulating all contractors and employees for completing the works on time, Suncrest Hotel's general manager Philippe Lonfat said the refurbishment has strengthened the Suncrest as a year-round hotel, attracting out-of-season trade especially in the conference and incentive business.
"With this kind of upgrading there is no reason why we should not be able to target top end events too."
Mr Lonfat also expressed his satisfaction on the positive trend of bookings for the coming weeks.
He emphasised that the launch of the Suncrest's new interactive Website www.suncresthotel.com would definitely assist in increasing bookings from the tourist trade as well as from individual bookings.
