Shoplifter pleads guilty
A 25-year-old woman yesterday admitted to shoplifting from several shops last year.
Elaine Muscat, of Valletta, admitted to stealing from the shops in Birkirkara, Iklin, Paceville and Sliema between August and September last year.
She pleaded not guilty to committing the crime during the operative time of a suspended jail term.
Magistrate Antonio Mizzi presided over the case.
Police Inspectors Ramon Mercieca and Victor Aquilina prosecuted.
Lawyers José Herrera and Veronique Dalli were defence counsel.
