AD on policing in Gozo
Alternattiva Demokratika's spokesman for Gozo, Victor Galea has welcomed the transfer of 22 Gozitan police constables from Malta to perform duties in the sister island.
Yet, Mr Galea, added, Gozo still lacked the full complement of police officers.
AD chairman Harry Vassallo said the issue of policing in Gozo and the manning of police stations must be prioritised by the government as citizens had a right to expect fair, impartial and effective police protection.
