Maria Aquilina stated (March 29) that she failed to vote at the local elections because she is irritated and frustrated about waiting for her promotion confirmation.

What Ms Aquilina fails miserably to see is that, by her abstention, she in fact did indirectly vote and has helped to elect her local council. Citizens, like Ms Aquilina, who abstain from voting at the polls, fail to understand that they are helping to elect the representative they deserve.
