The Premier of NSW, Morris Iemma (Labour) has just announced his new Cabinet. Unfortunately John Aquilina MP is not listed as one of the ministers.

The new Speaker of the NSW Legislative Assembly is Richard Torbay, Independent. Mr Aquilina therefore is no longer the Speaker. He is still the member for Riverstone as he was re-elected on March 24 in the state election.

Mr Aquilina's Riverstone electorate had a roll of 48,778 voters.

With 85.2 per cent of the votes counted Mr Aquilina polled 54 per cent. There was a swing to the Liberals of 3.3 per cent. (Source ABC)
