Match-fixing attempt: Malaysia's former national team coach Chow Kwai Lam has been fined S$50,000 ($33,050) for trying to fix a Singapore domestic football match, a court official said yesterday. Chow, 64, was found guilty by a Singapore court last week of offering a bribe of about S$200-S$300 ($132-$198) to a goalkeeper in the local football league to let the opposition team score two or three goals in a 2005 match, the local Today paper said last week.
