DJ Pantos started his deejaying carreer in 2000 in Melbourne, Australia getting weekly slots at clubs such as Q Bar and Revolver.

Back in Malta in 2001, he slowly established himself in the local house scene with his real break coming in 2006 with the Clique residency on Saturdays where he moved from being just a warm-up deejay to entertaining the crowd in the peak hours. Today, he also holds a Friday residency at Silk apart from another Saturday residency at Klozet.

How has your style of music evolved and which producers have influenced you?

Throughout the years my style of music has evolved as I appreciated different producers from the early subliminal sounds of Eric Morillo and Harry Choo Choo Romero, to the Spanish tribal sounds of Chus and Ceballlos and d-formation and then to today's cutting edge electro house with the likes of Fedde Le Grand and Erick E.

How has the local club scene evolved over the years and where does it momentarily stand?

Having experienced the international house scene while living abroad, I have noticed the progression the local house scene has made from a small niche of dedicated clubbers before I moved abroad to today's corporate clubbing with many more people involved to create a more commercial local house scene with so many events happening. Obviously this has its good side in that there are more opportunities, but on the other hand, quality people and most of all quality music have suffered from this change. It would be nice if the major promoters were to make an effort and bring over more underground deejays while local deejays would also make an effort to play less mainstream house. I believe that radio should play a vital role in this respect.

Any future plans?

To definitely continue to elaborate on my deejay sets and take my chance with the production part with my long time friend Gordon Flash.
