Two crosses, one flag

I have been conducting a survey with regard to the George Cross saga, and people in general do not seem to object to having the cross on the Maltese flag, so long as it is the cross of St George. The objection is having the cross of King George as a colonial gift.

Most people would approve of having the Maltese cross. Maybe both crosses could be accommodated with the Maltese cross and the cross of St George in the centre.
