Perhaps it is apt to point out to Pauline Bartolo (April 2) that "a jigsaw puzzle", according to the Oxford Dictionary, is "a picture pasted on board and cut into irregular pieces with jigsaw to form puzzle of reassembling them". Isn't it rich of the correspondent to apply such a description to traffic measures?

When one gets used to one-way systems one realises they are a boon not a disadvantage.

As long-time residents of Swieqi we welcome the present one-way system and cannot understand why the correspondent suggests that Triq is-Sidra, in particular, should revert to a two-way street. We have had enough over many years of selfish drivers rushing down our street from San Gwann and Ta' l-Ibrag, hardly ever bothering to give way to our cars as we struggle to leave our garages.

Incidentally, there is no such street called Valley Street in Swieqi. The correct name is Triq is-Swieqi.
