• Easter Sunday processions will be held at St George's Basilica, Victoria, with the participation of the La Stella Band, and at Zebbug with the participation of the St Mary Band at 9 a.m.; at Basilica of St Peter and St Paul, Nadur: procession with the statue of the Risen Christ, with the participation of the Mnarja Band at 9.15 a.m.; at the Cathedral: manifestation with the statue of the Risen Christ, with the participation of the Leone Band, at 10.45 a.m.

This evening there will be processions in Xaghra, with the participation of the Victory Band and Qala, with the participation of Ite ad Joseph Band, at 5.30 p.m. At 6 p.m. a Biblical pageant with the participation of Jackson's Pipers at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Xlendi.

• Eragon is showing at the Don Bosco Oratory today at 6 p.m.

• The Vocational Group is holding an exhibition focusing on Peter the Apostle and his connections with the Passion of Jesus Christ at the parish centre behind Xaghra basilica. It opens today between 6.30 and 8 p.m.

• The Gaulitanus Choir is organising Gaulitana: A Festival of Music, under the direction of Mro Colin Attard, tomorrow. This opera workshop with master classes for singers will be conducted by top international opera coach Joyce Fieldsend, at the exhibition hall in St Francis Square, Victoria, and the Catholic Institute, Floriana.

The workshop comes to an end with an operatic concert at the Sentinella in Victoria on Saturday at 8 p.m.

• The Astronomical Society of Malta is holding a lecture on "CCD Imaging - Capturing the Universe", delivered by Joseph Caruana, at the Ministry for Gozo, on Friday at 6.30 p.m. Those attending will learn about the equipment and methods employed in astro-photographic work. Maltese astronomers are using versatile charged coupled device (CCD) cameras to capture images of celestial objects, among them Mr Caruana, who is from Ghajnsielem (http://cosmology.awardspace.com).

• Mark Sagona is delivering a lecture on "Emvin Cremona and the Rise of Modern Sensibilities in Maltese Sacred Art" at the Ministry for Gozo, St Francis Square, Victoria, on Friday at 7 p.m.

• The Fondazzjoni Kenn u Tama is organising high tea with tombola at Villa Fiorita, Marsalforn, in aid of people needing treatment abroad, on Saturday at 6 p.m. Tickets are available from all Gozo parishes.

• The Ministry for Gozo is hosting an exhibition of paintings and sculptures entitled "Diversity", by Nicolette Vella between today and May 6. It will be open between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

• The Friends of the Sick and the Elderly are holding a fund-raising lunch at the Country Terrace, Ghajnsielem, on Sunday at noon. There will be spot prizes, a raffle and a silent auction.
