An Easter Monday parade will be held in the squares of Bugibba and Qawra.

Children will be able to have their face painted, watch balloon modellers or romp around on bouncy castles. Disney cartoon characters will mix with the public.

Speaking during the launch of the parade on Thursday, Tourism Minister Francis Zammit Dimech said the government was taking the necessary measures to get tourism in the St Paul's Bay area back on its feet. Although the number of tourists has increased between November and February, operators in the St Paul's Bay area were facing difficulties, he said.

The Easter Monday parade activities start at 3 p.m.

The parade is organised by the St Paul's Bay Bars and Restaurant Association in collaboration with the St Paul's Bay local council and the Malta Tourism Authority.
