A discussion on Caravaggio Tra l'Italia E Malta: Identità E Patrimonio Comune was held in Syracuse, Sicily last week at the Ex Convento Del Retiro.

Ray Bondin and Keith Sciberras both presented papers.

Dr Bondin spoke about the Filippo Paladini fresco project at the palace and Dr Sciberras concentrated on the last years of Caravaggio in Malta and Sicily.

The meeting was also addressed by the deputy mayor of Syracuse, Fabio Granata. The discussion was part of an EU-funded programme to re-establish cultural links between Sicily and Malta.
