Last weekend, crew members on all 11 boats in the 2007 GlobalCapital Gozo Weekend Regatta witnessed a fantastic turn of fortune with good winds and sunny days for the first race of the sailing season.

The entry list included Maltese Falcon II, Primadonna and Commanche Raider in the IRC Class A Division; Artie, J-Lance, Inspiration and Mischief in the IRC B Division; Orlando and Sephora in IRC Class C Division; and Nauti Buoy and Misty Blue in the Cruiser Class Division.

The winners on the day in the respective classes were: Maltese Falcon II, skippered by Martin Scicluna and crewed by a young team of sailors, Artie, skippered by Lee Satariano, Orlando, skippered by Alexander Hall, and Nauti Buoy, skippered by Robert Ciantar.

The Gozo Weekend Regatta featured three races - from Marsamxett to Mgarr, round Gozo, and from Mgarr to Marsamxett.
