Fund-raising meal

Kare4Kenya will be holding a meal to raise funds to help and educate the children of Kawangware, in Kenya, and their families.

The meal will be held on April 18 at Ta' Soldi Restaurant, Mgarr, at 8 p.m.

Kare4Kenya is a non-governmental development organisation (NGDO) based in Malta that works to help the children of Kenya reach their full potential and also works with parents and young people to help them find a better future.

More radio channels

Melita Cable plc said it has enhanced the selection of its radio packages by increasing the selection of channels to 61.

Prayer meeting

The International Movement of Prayer Blessed Pope John XXIII will be holding a prayer meeting at the church of Our Lady tal-Herba, Birkirkara, on April 18 at 6 p.m. Holy Mass will be said followed by 20 minutes of adoration. Everyone is invited to attend.

Dog found

A black Labrador was yesterday found in Reggie Miller Street, Gzira. The dog is being taken care of by the Abandoned Animals Association. Anyone having information about the owner of the dog and where to retrace him/her are asked to contact the Sliema police on 21332282.

Holy Week Activities

Good Friday processions
Good Friday processions in Malta will take place tomorrow in Cospicua, Luqa, Mosta, Naxxar, Paola - Christ the King, Qormi - St George, Rabat - St Francis, Senglea, Valletta, Vittoriosa - St Lawrence, Zebbug and Zejtun.
In Gozo, processions will be held in Nadur, Victoria - Cathedral Church, Xaghra and Zebbug. The processions start at 5.30 p.m.

At the Banca Giuratale, Independence Square, Victoria, an exhibition related to the mystery of the Passion of Christ.
At the Inquisitor's Palace, Vittoriosa, a photographic display entitled Good Friday Dresses Statuary From Malta And Spain.
At the male MUSEUM Centre, Nadur, a Last Supper table with life-size figures made by James Azzopardi.
At the Nativity of Our Lady Basilica, Xaghra, miniature Good Friday statues.
At the Xaghra Youth Centre, Xaghra, a photographic display of Good Friday activities.

University functions

University staff, students and their families are invited to attend the Holy Week functions at the University chapel today at 7 p.m., tomorrow at 3 p.m. and the Easter Vigil on Saturday at 8 p.m.

The University chapel will be open for adoration after the function today until midnight and on Friday from 8 to 11 a.m.
