Two construction workers were injured when the roof they were on at a construction site in Triq Iz-Zinzel, Qormi caved in at about 8 a.m. yesterday.

A third worker who was also on the roof escaped unhurt.

The police said the injured men who hail from Zurrieq and are aged 38 and 39, were rushed to St Luke's Hospital where they were found to be suffering from serious but not critical injuries.

The police are investigating.
