Hunting in the UK (1)
Joseph Abdilla was bemused to read that in the UK hunting shoots for foreigners are offered 365 days a year for certain species. I was even more bemused by his ignorance on the matter. It is very easy (and very expensive) to find shoots of this quality...

It is very easy (and very expensive) to find shoots of this quality in the UK; all he has to do is search on Google and he will come up with hundreds of links. Here is one example: www.pigeonshooter.com.
Just because he has never come across anyone practicing this hobby does not mean it does not exist. Have a look here to see how many hundreds of thousands of birds are shot by British shooters: http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/. Mr Abdilla asks how we get our guns through customs. He also asks if we hide our guns in the UK. How pathetic can one get?
We get our guns through Customs legally and without and problems. The British police issue us with what is called a Visitor's Licence. And now that we are in the EU we do not even need that!
The problem with Malta is that being small, any irregularities are easily reported and being so small shooting occurs even up to 200 metres from dwellings. The UK is so vast that its own citizens do not even know that shooting goes on and that birds are shot in their millions.
