The first Sisley Young collection has just been launched on the international fashion scene with a fully-fledged runway show. The collection, beginning with a spring/summer range, is new for the brand and also the fashion world.
It is sophisticated and detail-rich, inspired by the outfits of up-to-the-minute adults, but styled to suit younger fashionistas. Available for both girls and boys from three to 12, but concentrating on the eight- to 12-year-olds, Sisley Young is for kids with fashion in their blood: discerning under-twelves who refuse to be dressed by others, kids who want and know how to choose clothes that convey their personality and desire for independence.
The collection uses decorative motifs to distinguish the girls' and boys' themes. While the outfits' styling is "minimal", their rich graphic decoration and countless colour schemes are explosive, to say the least.
White and black with red accents define the Fashion Punk range for little girls with an attitude. Optical patterns emphasise the snazzy look: White embroidered scrolls and floral sprays on black backgrounds, or black on white backgrounds and lots of horizontal or vertical stripes.
In the Silver and Gold range, sophisticated colours emerge from jacquard motifs with lurex yarns, delicate sequin embroidery and beaded fine muslin. Pale backgrounds glow with abstract decoration around the hems.
When it comes to boys, denim dominates: Tight-fitting, ripped and ultra-decorated. The Punk Rock collection features black and white with mottled grey touches - an interplay of layers with studs, appliqués and embroidered patches.
