A total of 5,765 foreigners received treatment at St Luke's Hospital last year. Bills totalled Lm149,281 but only Lm80,904 were paid. Health Minister Louis Deguara said Lm12,139 were waived after the patients produced documents proving they were entitled to free medical care. The minister was replying to a question in Parliament by Adrian Vassallo (MLP).
