Antoine Sciberras, of Zabbar, 27, was yesterday charged with trying to steal a car during the operative time of a suspended jail term.

Mr Sciberras pleaded not guilty to trying to steal Claire Pisani's Fiat Uno and relapsing on Saturday at about 1.45 p.m.

He was remanded in custody.

Police Inspector Anthony Cassar prosecuted.

Lawyer Ian Farrugia was defence counsel.
