Kobe Bryant missed out on a fifth consecutive 50-point game but still managed to register 43 points in the Los Angeles Lakers' 115-113 home victory over the Golden State Warriors yesterday.

The win was the fifth straight for the Lakers, who used a 14-0 run in the fourth quarter to overturn a 98-90 deficit. Bryant hit 15 of 33 shots and made nine of 11 free-throws, but the Lakers were ineffective in getting him the ball for much of the second and third quarters.

A sub-par second quarter, in which Bryant scored only four points, cost the shooting guard a chance to join Wilt Chamberlain as the only NBA player to score 50 or more points in five straight games.
