• Details of all DCC meetings including the Agenda will be pre-notified on the noticeboard in the Planning Shop and available on internet. Local councils will also be copied with this agenda, together with details of applications received and validated; DCC decisions; details about appeals lodged to the Planning Appeals Board and relative agenda.

• When the DCC considers that changes can be made to a proposal which will render it acceptable, the architect will be asked to amend the plans. A time limit of 30 days for the receipt of the amended plans will be set.

• Once a decision is taken on an application, this will be communicated to the applicant within a reasonable time and the Secretariat aims to communicate 80 per cent of the decision notices within two weeks.

• Refunds of Building Levy will be made within 25 working days of the expiry of the time limit within which the applicant can request the Authority to reconsider its decision or submit an appeal to the Appeals Board and within 25 working days following an endorsement of a refusal on reconsideration or an Appeals Board decision.

• The Authority aims to decide 70 per cent of delegated applications within eight weeks.

• The monthly throughput of determined applications will be published on a monthly basis.
