Two on theft charges

Two men have been charged with stealing several wallets and mobile phones from a Zebbug shop, two years ago.

Jonathan Stewart, 21, and Wayne Briffa, 20, both pleaded not guilty to stealing the items from Fitness Planet while Mr Stewart alone was also charged with breaching the conditions of a previous release on June 2005.

Lawyers Chris Cardona and Franco Debono appeared for the men.
