A British man and a Brazilian woman were detained by the police yesterday after some 130 ecstasy tablets were found in their car after they disembarked from the ferry Majestic, in Grand Harbour.

Police sources said although the vessel arrived here from Tunisia, the two passengers had boarded the ferry with their car at Genoa.

The car was yesterday evening being X-rayed by the Customs Department to check whether more drugs were hidden.
