It will be a busy Easter Week for Archbishop Paul Cremona who will lead the Holy Week liturgical celebrations to be held at St John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta.

On Palm Sunday, the Archbishop will lead the celebration of the blessing of palm and olive branches and a procession. The function starts at 9 a.m. and includes Mass.

On April 4, Mgr Cremona will lead the Way of the Cross at Mt Carmel Hospital, at 8 p.m. He will visit the residents and staff at the hospital.

On Maundy Thursday, at 9 a.m., there will be morning prayers. Mass of Holy Chrism will follow at 9.30 a.m.

Diocesan priests and religious will concelebrate with the Archbishop, who will bless the holy oils that will be used in the celebration of the sacraments of the Anointing of the Sick, Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Orders. The priests will renew the promises made on the day of their ordination.

Also on Maundy Thursday, at 6.30 p.m., the Solemn Memorial of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated. After Mass, the Archbishop will carry the Blessed Sacrament to the Altar of Repose, where it will remain for the adoration of the faithful.

On Good Friday, at 3.30 p.m., Mgr Cremona will lead the celebration of the Lord's Passion.

On Holy Saturday, at 8 p.m., he will lead the celebration of the Easter Vigil while on Easter Sunday, at 9.15 a.m., he will celebrate Easter Sunday Mass together with the Cathedral Chapter.
