New training programme at Premier School of Football

Since its inception in 2005, Premier School of Football's main task has been that of offering youngsters the possibility to learn and improve the skills required for the game in a professional manner.

Special and individual attention is given to all players for the enhancement of their self-belief and character building, a statement from the school said.

To strengthen the services they provide, Premier School of Football will be introducing the Football Association's training programme, known as Soccer Star Challenge - a football coaching, learning and assessment programme for developing players.

The programme consists of exercises to help children hone their techniques while practising simple, reliable tests.

The Soccer Star Challenge tests have been approved by Professor Tim Holt, of Southampton University, following extensive research involving 10,000 children.

Qualified coaches of the Premier School of Football will be conducting preparatory classes for the FA Soccer Star Challenge at their base in Mosta.
