The next intake of distance learning programmes in Human Resource Management and Development offered by the Centre for Labour Market Studies (CLMS), a department within the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Leicester, will take place on May 7.

Courses start from Certificate level, going up to Diploma, Masters and finally Doctorate level. The programmes are stand-alone qualifications but can also provide an academic development pathway. Applications are currently being accepted and will close on April 20 at noon.

An information meeting, providing all details about the programmes of study, the centre and the University of Leicester, is scheduled to be held on Thursday, March 29, between 5.30 and 7.30 p.m. at the FHRD in San Gwann.

Those interested will also have the opportunity to meet graduates and students on the courses, to ask questions and view the course material.

Undoubtedly, when one has decided to invest time and money to further one's knowledge, the field of study is the foremost decisive factor. Then comes price, and last but definitely not least is the kind of support a student is provided throughout the course.

The FHRD has been providing excellent support facilities to CLMS students for over six years.

We accompany the students from the moment they first enquire about the course up to graduation; we provide all the administration and emotional support required; we provide a direct link to CLMS; we organise two annual teaching events during which CLMS academic staff provide tutorial support; we house a library containing books from the course suggested reading lists; we facilitate periodical support meetings, including support on the IT facilities the University provides; we grant access to CLMS students to our FHRD library and we actively encourage students to create study groups. All this at no extra charge, but as an added-value.

To know more you are kindly invited to attend the information meeting. For more details contact Daniela Gouder on 2138-1786 or dgouder@fhrd.org.

All certificate, diploma, master's and doctorate programmes offered by the CLMS, University of Leicester (UK), are recognised by the Academic Credentials Evaluation Board (ACEB) within the Malta Qualification Recognition Information Centre.
