Besides the stuffed birds on sale on their Website, they are offering a vast range of services, including pest control. On their list of pests one may find obviously birds, and to my surprise cats and dogs are also considered pests. Some of the methods to control such pests are disgusting.

The good thing is that BirdLife Malta and RSPB are offering Maltese hunters the privilege of getting birds stuffed and ready cheaper than having to shoot at protected birds and risk a Lm6,000 fine that BirdLife Malta proposed.

Most hunters appreciate Minister Pullicino's efforts to stand up to the EU Commissioner's decision on spring hunting, but to say that the government is trying to find balance between the hunters and the so-called environmentalists is unacceptable to hunters and trappers.

We have been losing out for many years now: either certain species are banned from the hunting or trapping list or hunting days or seasons are reduced or banned. There's no balance when we are always losing. Next time we will lose part of May, and then maybe September.
