The European Parliament Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality held a public hearing on 'A regulatory framework for measures to reconcile family life and a period of studies for young women in the European Union' on February 27.

Grace Attard made a presentation recommending a number of measures for young women to be able to reconcile family life and their studies. Dr Anna Záborská chaired the hearing.

Other speakers were Dr Vegard Skirbekk, Dr Marie Panayotopoulos-Cassiotou, Claudia Menne and Claudette Abela Baldacchino. A full report will appear in the next issue of Il-Mara.
