BoV sponsors first real estate forum

Bank of Valletta is sponsoring the first real estate forum, organised by Economic and Management Consultancy Services (EMCS) Ltd, to be held on Wednesday in the Grand Masters Suite of the Malta Hilton.

The forum will bring together stakeholders in Malta's real estate market and will assess opportunities, concerns, debates, issues and challenges facing this market in the future.

The bank's sponsorship was presented by John Soler, chief officer Credit at Bank of Valletta, to Dr John C. Grech, EMCS chairman.

Mr Soler said: "We are delighted to be sponsoring this innovative forum. The real estate sector constitutes an important pillar of Malta's economic activity and is a major contributor to our country's gross domestic product".

Mr Soler added that BoV is a major participant in the economic development taking place in all the main sectors of the Maltese economy. He explained how BoV is involved in financing the real estate market from different perspectives. Particular reference was made to property development and home loans.

Thanking BoV for its sponsorship, Dr Grech said the national forum "will provide delegates with a clear and indicative overview of the real estate sector in Malta and will portray scenarios of future performance and product positioning through the capable intervention of expert speakers."

Dr Grech further explained that this forum will be an interactive debate on the economic, financing, quality issues and international investment dimensions of the real estate market.

"The forum will provide a comprehensive perspective of the real estate market, outline new business opportunities within the area, and set foundations for an ongoing annual event that will deal with numerous issues concerning real estate."

Dr Grech further highlighted the strong interest and participation of a number of business individuals and professionals in this debate through their confirmed attendance.
