Cycling world champion Paolo Bettini will fight the pain of a cracked rib as he tries to win the centenary edition of the Milan-San Remo race today. The 32-year-old from Tuscany hit a signpost during the recent Tirreno-Adriatico stage race and was diagnosed with a cracked left rib and bruised chest muscle after undergoing hospital checks.
