Police probe rape claim

A 29-year-old woman was allegedly raped in Robert Samut Street, Lija, yesterday at about 9.30 a.m.

The police said preliminary investigations indicated the woman was allegedly pushed into a van and raped by a man. She was taken to St Luke's Hospital.

Duty Magistrate Edwina Grima was informed of the case and appointed experts to help in the inquiry.

Police investigations are continuing.
