Children are naturally curious and love to investigate. The earlier we encourage this curiosity, the better. Scientific knowledge is cumulative, so children need to start learning early both at school and at home.

Last year, children enthusiastically participated in Home-Sci-Home, a science hands-on exhibition held in a typical, Gozitan farmhouse. The children's eyes sparkled, their hands manoeuvered and their minds wondered.

This year, a farmhouse in Xaghra, Gozo, will again be converted into a primary science-learning centre for children and the public for a Primary Science Fest, organised by the Gozo College in collaboration with the Science Centre of the Department for Curriculum Management. Children will move from one room to the next doing primary science investigations which are related to the particular room they are in.

The Home-Sci-Home at Ta' Menzja, Triq Bullara, Xaghra will be held from Monday till Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
