Lou Bondì is accusing the Labour Party's education secretary, Wenzu Mintoff, of trying to prolong libel proceedings against him.

Mr Bondì had sued Dr Mintoff for libel over comments made during a television programme presented by Mr Bondì himself.

Dr Mintoff submitted in a written reply filed in court that he could not be deemed responsible according to law and the suit ought to have been filed against Where's Everybody, being the producer of the programme, or PBS, as the company that broadcast it.

Mr Bondì filed a reply arguing that, though original, Dr Mintoff's submissions had no logical legal ground. Dr Mintoff, he added, had merely tried to shed his responsibilities by involving third parties that had nothing to do with the matter.

Lawyer Anthony Cremona signed Mr Bondì's reply.
