The remaining match from this season's Winter League was played in overcast conditions at Marsa last weekend.
Leaders Marsa, already sure of the title, played Overseas who won the toss and elected to bat.
After a steady start, Mike Smith was clean bowled by a superb Ronnie Sacco delivery for Marsa. Smith had made nine runs. Joy Ghoseroy and Stuart Thompson kept the scoreboard ticking until Ghoseroy was caught for 20 runs. Thompson was also caught for 31 runs. He was his side's top scorer on the day.
Grant Williams made 16 runs. He was able to hit a 4 and a big 6 but boundaries were hard to come by as Overseas were bowled out for 127 runs.
Mike Caruana, Sarfraz Ali and Gordon Hewitt all took two wickets each for Marsa.
Mike Jones started the Overseas defence by bowling Aaron Nind for just three. Sagar Krishna and Lucas then put on a 60-run partnership.
But when Krishna and Lucas were bowled out, Marsa found themselves in trouble, needing 41 runs from six overs.
Mike Caruana then entered the crease and came to the side's rescue. He dispatched the first ball he faced for 6, hit another 6 and added two 4s in a match-winning 32 from 17 balls.
Mark G. Sacco finished on 14 as Marsa completed their Winter League commitments by winning this game in style.
Next weekend, Marsa play against two touring UK teams.
On Saturday they face Ibstone and on Sunday they host Reading Blue Coat School.
