A 26-year-old woman was raped by at least three men, in Marsa at about 3.30 a.m., yesterday.

The police were yesterday questioning four foreign men in connection with the case.

Sources said it appeared the woman, who is Maltese, decided to take a nap in the Marsa open centre after leaving a bar nearby.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment and was later interviewed by the police.

Duty Magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona has launched an inquiry and appointed a number of experts to assist him.
