The small village of Gharb looked and sounded different than usual over the past weekend for the festival of art, culture, history and music, held by the local council.

Between Friday and Sunday, the village was buzzing with activity exposing the main characteristics of this usually quiet picturesque village, in Gozo.

Guided tours were held to spots in the locality where traditions were revived for the occasion. Exhibitions were held, including a fine show of lace-making by Consiglia Azzopardi.

Entertainment in the evenings was continuous at the village square, each day coming to a fitting end with a spectacular fireworks display
