I read with great interest what Roderick Galdes had to say about "an electability issue" (March 15).
I thought we might finally have clearly spelt out Labour policy on hunting and trapping from none other than Labour's spokesman on the environment.
Yet, we were only regaled with Mr Galdes's high hopes for a Labour government after the latest round of local elections that saw Labour drop more than 3,300 votes. Running with the hares and hunting with the hounds does not make Labour any more electable than it was in 2002 when it won that year's round of local elections only to lose the subsequent referendum (despite its claims to the contrary) and general election.
