We greatly enjoyed the exhibition at the Fine Arts Museum and were inspired by Malcolm Borg's first lecture - Monuments, The Landscape Garden And Death, and to once again visit the Anglican Cathedral of St Paul, the work of architect William Scamp who also designed the magnificent Naval Bakery. (It is touching to know that William Scamp's infant son was baptised in this cathedral.)

We greatly appreciated our visit to this church, so beautifully maintained, including the polished brass memorial tablets. One of these describes a memorial window to submariners lost in the war. Following a visit to this church about five years ago I was told this window was "under restoration". It is so sad to see no window, just shabby boards where the window should be. Will this window be restored? To family members of submariners who never returned home after the ware, this window is significant. We do not forget.
